One of the advantages to being an expert safari guide is the opportunity to assist the wildlife. This male buffalo was mud bathing in the crater rim, and discovered he could not get out. He sunk into this well and I decided to try to help. At first, I got out of my car, but I worried about my life. In the end, I gently pushed him with my safari car and he was able to go on his way. But, I am not sure I heard him say "thank you."

The Grateful Buffalo
One of the advantages to being an expert safari guide is the opportunity to assist the wildlife. This male buffalo was mud bathing in the crater rim, and discovered he could not get out. He sunk into this well and I decided to try to help. At first, I got out of my car, but I worried about my life. In the end, I gently pushed him with my safari car and he was able to go on his way.
