The Grateful Buffalo

One of the advantages to being an expert safari guide is the opportunity to assist the wildlife. This male buffalo was mud bathing in the crater rim, and discovered he could not get out. He sunk into this well and I decided to try to help. At first, I got out of my car, but I worried about my life. In the end, I gently pushed him with my safari car and he was able to go on his way. But, I am not sure I heard him say "thank you."

Picnic at the Crater

During a 10-day trip, this day was particularly beautiful, so my client and I decided to stop at the Ngoitokitok Springs picnic site and have lunch. While we sat, we enjoyed not only our meal, but also terrific views of birds and hippopotamus.

Crater Floor

As you ascend from the Ngorongoro Crater, be sure to stop at the view point just after the last small gate and take a look. You will see a breathtaking scene as the crater spreads out before you. When you go on safari with Bokari, this scene, and many more special experiences, are yours!

Wildebeest Migration

Wildebeest (gnu) on migration across Lake Ndutu. I was trying to count them, but I did not manage, because there are thousands of them crossing on the same trail. Come to Ndutu on safari with Bokari and try counting the wildebeest yourself!

Cheetah on the Prowl

When you come on safari with Bokari, I can take you to see cheetahs like this one in Ndutu, which was was hunting gazelle. Cheetahs look very shy but they are incredibly fast runners, with a stride of 20-25 feet (6-7.5 meters)!

The Fastest Runner

The cheetah is the fastest runner! This one in Ndutu waits patiently as it watches the Thompson's gazelle. When you come on safari with Bokari, you can see the cheetah in its natural habitat and feel utter amazement when you see this splendid animal burst forth at full speed!

The Watchful Lion

What he the royal lion looking at? His first lioness is up a tree, and the second is nearby. He watches us, to make sure we do not disturb them!

Tree-Climbing Lions

Not only do lions climb tree at Manyara National Park but also in Ndutu, Tarangire and Serengeti. My client was lucky to be on safari with Bokari, to see this tree-climbing lioness in the Ndutu area just near to Lake Masek. We stayed for almost an hour. Sometimes the lion watched us and sometimes she took a rest. Her mate was just on the other side of the tree.

Lake Manyara National Park

When you come with Bokari to Lake Manyara National Park, I will make sure we stop at the hippo pool view point. Here, you will see baboons walking around, and find 400 species of birds! Come to Lake Manyara during the dry season (July-October) for the best views of large mammals, and during the wet season (November-June) for bird watching, canoeing and the best views of the lush waterfalls.

Lion Crossing in Ndutu

My client from the UK was amazed to see this male lion crossing close in front of our car.  For a moment, I thought the big cat would jump atop our van, but he seemed to know that we are good friends.
